Greenland is the least densely populated country located between Arctic and Atlantic
Oceans. It is the world’s largest island and most of its area is covered by glaciers.
Whale hunting was the primary living of the people at early stages. Fishes contributes
ninety percent of its total export as fishing is the core business for the residents
of Greenland. The western coast of the country is free of ice and thus all towns
as well as settlers are found there. A largest national park is located on the northeastern
part of Greenland and is famous in the tourism industry.
Transportation is the important part to be considered for Greenland country. As
there is no road ways between island and other nations, a boat service is used to
transport goods. Due to long distance, the frequency of boats is less. Also there
are no roads

between cities within the country and thus ferries are used to travel from one city
to the other. Other transport service was started by Air Greenland and did not last
for long due to financial losses. As it was important to start air service in Greenland,
Air Iceland started operating twice in a week. Majority of people in Greenland are
Christians and Greenlander is the official language spoken by them. One can use
our system and search for Greenland flights.
People of Greenland are descended from Inuit tradition and they do fishing as well
as dog sled races. Today fishing in the country is carried out with the help of
modern technologies and fire arms. Football is the national sport and the nation
is not a member of FIFA as it cannot grow grass in such climatic conditions. Greenland
players are strong competitors in Island and Arctic Winter games. The top five populated
towns in the country are Nuuk – capital and largest city of Greenland, Sisimiut
– has a growing industrial base, Ilulissat – most popular tourist destination, Qaqortoq
– the oldest fountain of the nation, Aasiaat - is referred as Towns of the Whales.
